MERIDEN, CONN. – The Suzio York Hill Companies Inc. is extending their service capability by proudly welcoming Beard Concrete into its Ready Mix supply business. The current construction season will see Suzio grow from three production facilities to four along with a substantial increase to their delivery fleet.
With the expansion, Bruce Dykty will also be promoted to Vice President of Sales. Jim Beard will serve as Executive Vice President.
“This newest aquisition marks an exciting time in our 113 year history,” said president Len Suzio. “We look forward to our presence in the state growing along with the progress of some of our key people who have been with us for many years, as well as those that have joined our team over the course of this process.”
With immediate operation of its Milford plant along with the Derby location which will be online in the spring, Suzio will be able to supply concrete to many towns throughout the Naugatuck River Valley and Fairfield County. Ready-mix plants already in operation include one in Meriden, Wallingford and New Haven as well as the facility in Milford.
Since 1898 Suzio has been associated with Construction in Connecticut. The supply of Crushed Stone based materials including concrete and asphalt remain the company’s focus. Suzio products continue to be featured in multiple commercial and residential projects across the state including; Middletown’s new Army Reserve Center, Yale University’s campus wide construction, Yale New Haven hospital expansion, Gateway Community College, and the I-95 Corridor Improvement Program. The business is headquartered on Westfield Road in Meriden Connecticut and continues to be family owned and operated with ties to many locally based community efforts.
